In 2014 I was invited to become a Partner in Sunwest Ventures. Sunwest is a boutique investment and advisory firm that helps companies strategize, align and execute on growth and business expansion initiatives.

Sunwest provided me the opportunity to work with companies both within and outside the technology space and we began to recognize 3 trends that were common across virtually all businesses we worked with:

1. More and more businesses are looking to expand sales through the use of 3rd party sales partners such as resellers, independent reps, dealers, distributors, etc. However, technology barriers are getting in the way of achieving effective collaboration and sales management with 3rd party partners.

2. Companies are looking to transform their business and drive revenue using cloud-based CRM and marketing automation software. However, they are unclear on how to best implement these systems in order to get the transformation and growth they are looking for.

3. There is great excitement and expectations related to the possibilities associated with Artificial Intelligence but a lack of a clear, practical understanding as to how AI will be implemented and utilized in their business.

These 3 trends are the drivers behind the vision and direction of our investments and advisory services.
